ANIBT Aged Care and Community Services Courses Launched in Sri Lanka

ANIBT signs MOU with Australasian Academy in Sri Lanka

Australian National Institute of Business and Technology (ANIBT) partners with Australasian Academy (AA) to offer Aged Care and Community Services courses from 2022 in Sri Lanka to enable Sri Lankan graduates to obtain employment opportunities globally.

Australasian Academy is a leading tertiary education provider in Sri Lanka and was instrumental in introducing globally ranked Swiss Tourism and Hotel Management programs to Sri Lanka. Since early 2021 AA has begun a journey of diversifying into many areas in the higher education spectrum. With the launch of the Swiss Hospitality program, University Direct Placements and Aged Care and Community Services programs this year, AA plans to introduce more areas of study in partnership with highly ranked overseas educational institutions in 2022.

The official launch and signing of the agreement was held virtually due to prevailing pandemic constraints, with ANIBT and AA officials joining the virtual ceremony. ANIBT was represented by Mr. Jianming Chen, the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Matthew Greskie, the Manager for Training and Academic Development, and Mr. Martin Jeyakumar, the Marketing Manager for South Asia. Australasian Academy was represented by Managing Director, Mr. Kalum De Silva, Academic Director, Ms. Naima Markar and General Manager, Mr. Nishantha Jayasundara.

“We at ANIBT are much excited with this new partnership with Australasian Academy in Sri Lanka to deliver our own Certificate III in Individual Support, Certificate IV in Ageing Care and the Diploma in Community Services. We are confident that Sri Lankan students will benefit well to achieve their dream career with the right education and training in one of the most in-demand skills in many countries around the globe. We are committed to the long-term development of aged care and community services professionals from Sri Lanka with our new partnership with AA,” stated Mr. Jianming Chen, CEO of ANIBT.

Commenting on the launch Mr. Kalum De Silva, Managing Director of AA, stated “We have been growing steadily as a leading tertiary and transnational education provider since 2018. With this partnership, AA becomes the first institution in Sri Lanka to offer an Australian Qualification in Aged Care and Community Services. I am confident that this partnership will grow and help maximize the potential of our graduates to achieve their dream career goals”.

Sri Lankan students will have the opportunity to transfer to ANIBT and its partner institutions in Australia to complete their higher studies such as Nursing after the first stage is completed in Sri Lanka (Certificate III or Certificate IV).
